Yesterday, the Husbandlet and I had a Hot Date™ … our church had a games night with–and this is key–free childcare.
On the way out the door:
Me: “Should I bring my purse in case you’re too tipsy to drive home?”
(N.B.: We go to a Baptist church.)
The Husbandlet: “I didn’t know we’d invited the Episcopalians.”
Me: “They decided to make it an ecumenical evening. But don’t worry, we won’t be playing any cards.”
The Husbandlet: “Alas. I would love to play poker with a bunch of drunk Baptists.”
